EPISODE SEVENTY-FOUR: 412 North 7th Avenue

After filling William in on what they've learned from the Akuhito leader, the party rides in the van to the address given to them. On the way, the party discusses the battle they just had.

Danika: "Did anyone else notice that Lord Thrax's eyes looked different when he was fighting?"

Aelle: "Yeah! Instead of turning red like they usually do, they looked like the eyes of Xanatos!"

Palledoris: "This means the time of Lord Thrax's awakening is upon us! Hail Xanatos!"

The rest of the Saibot chicks: "Hail Xanatos!"

THRAX: "Eau-kay... Back the truck up here! What the hell does that mean?"

Palledoris: "You know those dreams you were telling me about? That combined with your eyes transforming means that the Spirit of the Dragon is awakening within you! You're in the process of turning into the great Dragon being that will lead us to eternity! Hail Lord Thrax!"

Saibot chicks: "Hail Lord Thrax!"

THRAX (annoyed): "Stop worshipping me! I'm not anyone's god!"

Palledoris: "Well, not yet you're not. But you will be soon!"

TRITHAL, seeing that Palledoris is in an information-giving mood, and seeing the need to be filled in on what the hell the crystal thing Dorinda gave him is, asks Palledoris, "Oh yeah! By the way, Palledoris, what the hell is this thing?"

Palledoris: "That is a very rare 「Javian Amplification Crystal」. There are only three of them known to exist in the whole Land of Fantasy. That little jewel there is worth more GP than you could ever fathom!"

TRITHAL, surprised by how valuable this item is, says "Holy shit!"

Palledoris: "Whatever you do, be very careful with it! If you put too much power through it, you could wipe out a whole prefecture. If it were to fall into the wrong hands, it would mean the end of the world!"

About that time, the van pulls up to the address on 7th Avenue. The party exits the van to find the remnants of a burned-down house on the lot. The party looks around the site when TRITHAL is approached by an older gentleman. The two of them conduct a conversation a'la the old-fashioned dialogue box way of some RPG's from the NES-era:

Old man: "Greetings! I'm Mr. Hatch. I live across the street. What'y'all doin here?"

TRITHAL: "Oh, hello. I'm Trithal the Divine Wind. We're with the Sabretooth Phi-Considine. Are we correct in understanding that the house that was here belonged to a person called Red Phile?"

Mr Hatch: "Well, I don't know for sure who actually owned it... but yes, that punk Red Phile did use this house as a hideout and his own personal brothel. No one knows who did it, but someone burned it down right after Phile disappeared."

TRITHAL withdraws his PDA and shows Mr Hatch the picture of Ella and asks, "Does this girl look familiar to you?"

Mr Hatch studies the picture, then says "Well, sorta... but I can't really place the face."

TRITHAL: "This girl disappeared on the night of Nengo-323年12月17日. We believe she was kidnapped by Red Phile and was possibly brought here."

About the same time, Mr Hatch's wife joins her husband in the conversation. Mr Hatch shows Mrs Hatch the picture and asks if she remembers this girl.

Mrs Hatch: "Wait a minute... Isn't this the girl the Sormeo kid found?"

Mr Hatch: "Yeah I think you're right!" (to TRITHAL) "If I remember correctly, the Sormeo's 18-year old son found her lying on the stoop of this house on his way home from work one afternoon, maybe about a week or so after the 17th of Junigatsu, back in Nengo-323年. She couldn't remember where she was or how she got there... and she couldn't remember her name or anything like that. She must've been drugged real heavy or hit in the head. The Sormeos took her in and took care of her. Shortly afterward they moved to Morgura and brought her with them."

TRITHAL: "Interesting! Do you know where they moved to, or how we can contact them?"

Mr Hatch: "Yeah. They left us their forwarding address." (to Mrs Hatch) "Go get that piece of paper, will you?"

Mrs Hatch goes into their house to retrieve the information. TRITHAL tells Mr Hatch "This girl we're looking for is a member of the Sabretooth-Tanchi royal family. She is Ella of the Light, older sister of now-Duchess Ali. She went missing 2 1/2 years ago from Ali's 16th Birthday Celebration Ball at Sebastion's castle here in Muriad. The combined armies of Sabretooth and Muriad couldn't find her at all. Just recently some new information came to light about her disappearance, and King Midus dispatched us here to track down these new leads."

Mr Hatch: "Oh wow! I never figured that girl was royalty! I thought she was just some Jane Doe who ended up in the wrong place at the wrong time!"

Mrs Hatch returned with a piece of paper containing a name, address, and phone number. TRITHAL copied the info down onto his PDA. TRITHAL thanks the older couple for their help.

(back to regular dialogue mode)

TRITHAL gathers the party together and shares the new information with them.

CHRIS (whiny): "Aw! Morgura?! We gotta go all the way there?"

THRAX: "Yes, Chris, we do. We gotta find this girl and bring her back to the Mountain Castle so Ali will let Axem out of jail!"

Palledoris: "But, how are we gonna get there? It's quite a ways away from here, and there's no highway that will take you straight there from here either... what with Mount Sabretooth being in the way and all."

TRITHAL: "Then that leaves us with two options: either blow up Mount Sabretooth, or charter a boat and go there by sea."

THRAX: "I say we blow up Mount Sabretooth... but then that would leave a bunch of carnage we'd probably have to clean up."

Palledoris: "Do we have enough money to charter a boat?"

TRITHAL: "Probably just enough. So should we do it?"

CHARTER A BOAT?
- YES -
NO

THRAX thinks a minute then says, "Yeah, let's go for it. We want to get Axem sprung as soon as possible."

CHARTER A BOAT?
> YES <
NO

The rest of the party, naturally, agrees with THRAX... so William drives the party to the marina on the north end of the docks and then parts ways with the party. Once there, the party saves their place at the records kiosk, then spends 450 of their 600 GP on boat rental. Before they set out, TRITHAL transmits an email from his PDA to King Midus via the WLAN access point at the marina office informing him of their progress.
