EPISODE TWENTY-ONE: Back on the Road

The next morning we find our party at Shinamori's house, sprawled out in various places on the floor of his living room. One by one they wake up to the sound of TRITHAL vomiting in the bathroom.

Ali gets up and walks to the bathroom and says with a smirk on her face, "Did we have a little too much fun last night?"

TRITHAL gives her the finger, and when he tries to tell her to fuck off, he begins vomiting again. Ali is now consumed with laughter.

Shinamori enters the bathroom and gives TRITHAL a tall glass of some concoction with a weird odor and instructs TRITHAL to drink it down. TRITHAL complies, and within minutes his stomach is settled and his headache is gone.

TRITHAL: "What was that stuff?"

Shinamori: "It's a special formula me and Batousai created. It does wonders on hangovers. It's made by combining a chemical of my creation with some of Batousai's blue powder. A while back I ran out of my stash of blue powder and haven't had time to make the trip to the Goblin Market to get more of it. I used some of the blue powder Batousai gave you to make this one."

TRITHAL, thankful to be rid of his hangover so quickly, gets up off the bathroom floor and thanks the apothecary. He then walks into the self-enclosed shower room and takes a shower to get the stench of alcohol and vomit off of him. Just to be a nice person, Ali washes TRITHAL's clothes for him. When she placed his clean clothes outside the curtain of the shower room, she accidentally caught a glimpse of TRITHAL's naked body, and noticed that the blue markings on his face go all the way to his feet. She immediately looks away before TRITHAL realized he was being watched.

The rest of the party didn't get that wasted, so they were able to get by by just washing their faces & upper bodies in the sink outside the shower room. Once everyone was cleaned and refreshed, they went to the Denny's in town and treated Shinamori to breakfast as a way of thanking him for letting them crash out the night before.

As the party prepared to leave town, Shinamori gave each member a vile of the chemical he used to make TRITHAL's hangover remedy, and gave TRITHAL the instructions on how to make it should he need it again. The party stops by the recorder's office to save their place like they've done every other time before they leave a town.

As they made their way to the gates of the town to get back on the overland route, they are approached by a stagecoach driver who offers them a ride to Mikka, the next town down the road. The party doesn't hesitate to take him up on his offer since they've grown tired of all the walking they've been doing.
