Our party wanders around a little more. TRITHAL gets the feeling that most of the fights fought here in Tankia will be mostly with lackys of the remaining followers of Liiche's army, as opposed to the actual leaders of the insurgency. And in assuming that, TRITHAL predicts that most of the battles fought from here on in until they reach Tanchi City, will be easily won.
As our party continues to wander, they comes across what appears to be an abandoned storage shed. The shed looks derelict and kinda looks like it was set on fire. Against the wishes of TRITHAL, they decide to enter the shed and briefly look around. In a corner, which appears to be unaffected by the flames that the rest of the shed seems to have obviously suffered from, lies a note. CHRIS picks it up. He attempts to pronounce a strange name that appears on the note.
CHRIS: "Ex-in-an-a-taus.....sounds like anus something. Heh-heh-heh!"
AXEM walks over and yanks it out of his hand. He glances at it for a brief moment.
AXEM: "Chris, you silly billy, it's pronounced "Xanatos".
CHRIS: "AAHH, shut up! I don't wanna hear that stupid name. I hate it!"
AXEM: (rubbing it in as if he didn't know what CHRIS was talking about) "Which name, silly billy or Xanatos?"
CHRIS: "Aah, shut up, shut up!"
Before CHRIS could launch into a backstory explaining his disdain for that name, which would undoubtedly be filled with sentence fragments, and run-ons and inconsistencies, TRITHAL talks over CHRIS and says, "This is a waste of time. Let's go!"
Right as our party walks out of the shed, Four Tank Mavericks engage our party into battle.
BATTLE MODE ON
Since everybody is more prepared, our party gets the first opportunity to attack.
AXEM attacks Tank Maverick #1 with his Sai. T.Mav.#1 loses 20/80 HP.
TRITHAL attacks T.Mav.#2 with his pizza knife. He decapitates T.Mav.#2 and is immediately destroyed.
Evan (to Ali): "There is something really wrong with that boy. He is gruesome."
THRAX thinks to himself about something that was said back in Episode 4 by the giant dark ogre: "Y'all's a bunch of psychos!" He thinks to himself how that best fits the quartet. Thrax almost missed his turn thinking so he rushed in with his dragon dagger to attack T.Mav. #3. T.Mav.#3 loses 13/80 HP.
CHRIS, who actually learned quite a bit reading that manual to his wizard stick, channeled his element of water into the wizard stick hoping to deal out some damage. Water begins spraying from the wizard stick like a garden hose. The remaining 3 T.Mav's are soaked and all gained 5 HP from that move. Chris loses 5 SP.
CHRIS: "Ah, dawg! Heh-heh-heh! My bad, dudes!"
THRAX: "Maybe you should've spent more time with that manual and less time reading Dave Berry books."
Ali attacks T.Mav.#4 with her dueling sword. T.Mav.#4 loses 15/80 HP.
Everyone rolls their eyes as Evan is readying himself to make a move.
Evan quickly dashes at T.Mav.#1 and starts bitch-slapping the shit out of him. T.Mav.#1 loses 30/65 HP.
THRAX: "Damn, that was kinda cool....(under his breath)...in a gay-ish sort of a way."
All 3 Tank Mavericks unite their energy's together and expel a powerful blast of electrons at our party. Everyone is affected.
AXEM loses 13 HP.
TRITHAL loses 15 HP.
THRAX loses 20 HP.
CHRIS loses 19 HP.
Ali loses 15 HP.
Evan loses 20 HP.
AXEM: "Fuck this."
AXEM uses his magic for an all-attack move he had seen in QUEST 64, and unleashes GRANITE AVALANCHE. Several forms of rocks come falling from the sky. 2 T.Mav.'s are destroyed and the remaining one has 7 HP left. Axem loses 20 SP for that stompness.
TRITHAL, not wanting to be shown up by his longtime friend AXEM, goes totally nucking futs on T.Mav.#3 with his pizza knife. He simply imagined that the enemy was that "fucker" from the pizza shop the quartet used to work at. T.Mav.#3 loses 8749/7 HP......obviously enemy is destroyed.
Party gains 125 EXP.

Another battle with some lacky's of the insurgency followed. CHRIS managed to do something useful with his wizard staff, and Ali used some of her healing powers on the group so the battle went fairly well. The party gained an additional 100 EXP. Our party's stats shape up as follows:

Everybody, especially the party members who actually give a shit, was extremely happy they got to do some battles and gain some experience. They will need it for they are coming closer to the actual city of Tanchi where some of the leaders of the insurgency may be located. For now the party makes it to an abandoned cathedral, where they are temporarily free of bandits, insurgents, and monsters looking to pick a fight...or so they think.
