EPISODE FOUR: The great underground labrynth

The soul of one of the defeated goblins arises and confronts AXEM and says, "I see you have contracted some form of venereal disease while having that romp with the hotties at the waterfall..."

AXEM (defensively): "What of it?"

The soul of the goblin continues: "Deep within these caverns lies a marketplace where you might find a cure for your disease...." AXEM seems interested. "... also there's an FYE store where you can stock up on anime DVD's, death metal albums, and comedy movies..." the remaining party members now seem interested.

All the party members, with stars in their eyes, ask "How do we get to that marketplace???"

The soul of the goblin replied: "Follow the path deep into the caverns..." He then points straight ahead toward a dark, narrow, passage. "... but look out for the remaining obstacles. We were just the opening act." The soul of the goblin then fades into oblivion. 

TRITHAL uses 1 SP to create an orb of light. AXEM, THRAX and CHRIS pull a flashlight out of their backpacks. The party then ventures forth through the dark, narrow passageway.

The party travels forward, for hours it seems like, through the deep underground maze of tunnels. All-of-a-sudden they are confronted by a giant dark ogre, who has 2300 HP, 759 SP and a ominous appearance, who says in a deep, echoing voice: "Are you the four travelers who killed the goblins at the entrance?"

THRAX: "Yeah, that's us. Why?"

The ogre's face comes to light, and now with a worried look says, "Y'alls a bunch of psychos! I'm outta here!" then turns and flees deeper into the cavern. 

TRITHAL uses 3 SP to cast a spell to stop the ogre in his tracks right at a juncture in the caverns. The party catches up and TRITHAL says "Hold up a minute, dude,"

Ogre (stunned): "What'ya want?"

AXEM: "We're looking for that market place those trolls out there told us about. Where's it at?"

Ogre (defiant): "Why should I tell you fuckers?"

Not sure why the ogre seems so scared of them, the four boost their spirit energy to where TRITHAL's eyes glowed blue, THRAX's eyes glowed red, AXEM's eyes glowed green, and CHRIS just shined his flashlight in his face to make himself look tough. CHRIS then said, "We'll kick your ass if you don't." 

THRAX rolls his eyes and says, "No, we'll beat ya to dust if you don't."

Confused, CHRIS asks, "What was the point in saying that? That has the same meaning of what I said."

THRAX answers promptly, "Yeah, well, my line sounds more stomp, and not so corny and redneck-i-fied."

Now on the verge of pissing himself after realizing that THRAX might actually be a threat, the ogre says, "It's, uh...... That way!" and points to the left. While the party takes a second to look in that direction, the ogre flees to the right faster than a creature his size should be able to travel. 

Now the party is confused as to which direction they should go. TRITHAL says, "Fuck this shit. THRAX, cumere!" The two engage in a brief, quiet conversation in a language unknown to AXEM and CHRIS. 

CHRIS (like a smartass): "This is America, guys! Speak English!"

TRITHAL: "This ain't America! This is some unknown region that this RPG was set in!"

TRITHAL goes on to say, "We need you and AXEM to stay quiet until we say so. Me and THRAX are gonna try something we saw in an Anime once." Not sure why, the two agreed not to make a sound, interested in what TRITHAL and THRAX are gonna do.

TRITHAL and THRAX stand at the juncture in the tunnel at a 45-degree angle from each other, then simultaneously opened their mouths let out a heavy, medium-pitched tone from their voices. The tones were very consistent in pitch and were in perfect synchronized harmony with each other. AXEM and CHRIS have never seen anything like that before. The two sustained the unwavering tones for about 90 seconds. The two, in synchronized motion, then closed their mouths and the tones stopped abruptly. Then the two turned slightly inward, now slightly facing each other at a 45-degree angle. They close their eyes and concentrate, as if listening down the caverns. AXEM and CHRIS are fascinated by what they see. The entire cavern remains quiet for a minute or so and the whole party remains silent and motionless, except for a few glances between AXEM and CHRIS.

Then, almost in perfect sync with each other, TRITHAL and THRAX open their eyes, and TRITHAL says, "What's down your way?"

THRAX: "Sounds like several other tunnels, most of which leading to dead-ends, the rest I don't know."

TRITHAL: "I heard pretty much the same thing, except I think I heard water running from one of the tunnels over there."

Still stunned from what he just witnessed, AXEM asks TRITHAL, "What just happened? How were you able to figure out..." then realizing he'd be in for a long-winded highly-technical explanation that would most-likely put him to sleep, said "... never mind, I don't wanna know."
