GROUP ONE heads down their assigned direction. TRITHAL, who is very competitive, wants to be the first group finished so he darts further away into darkness. He whips out his flashlight and keeps moving. Aelle brings hers out and catches up to him.
Aelle: "What's your hurry? I mean, we wanna get this done, but let's be more cautious and alert."
TRITHAL: "I just wanna finish before GROUP THREE finishes."
Aelle: "This isn't a competition here, Trithal."
TRITHAL: "Yeah, but getting my ass handing to me by an 18 yr-old princess is something a guy can't easily get over."
Aelle: "You seem to get angry too easily. You need to work on controlling it."
TRITHAL: "Yeah, sure. Ok, (under breath) mom!"
Just then, 2 gargoyles engage GROUP ONE in battle.
BATTLE MODE ON
Aelle, having a higher speed than TRITHAL, allows him to go first anyway while she sizes up the gargoyles.
TRITHAL slices at gargoyle #1 with his pizza knife. Gargoyle loses 3/80 HP.
TRITHAL: "What the hell?"
Aelle chants a spell from the saibotian wizard scrolls and unleashes DRAGON FAN. Blue rays of energy channel out Aelle's hands and casts a massive downflow of straight line winds laced with pieces of ash. Both gargoyles are hit and lose 53/80 HP apiece. Aelle uses 5 SP.
TRITHAL, feeling vastly inferior, tries a move of magic and unleashes WIND TERROR. He extends both arms and swirls his katana blade and pizza knife in his hands like a spinning top. Rays of energy in the shape of his blades emit from his spinning action. The rays don't reach far enough and barely contact the gargoyles and they lose 7/27 HP. TRITHAL loses 5 SP.
Aelle: "You're not focusing your energy properly. There is too much anger clouding your attack and it falls flat. You're obviously way off-balance. Now, concentrate!"
Aelle lets her turn go while in defense mode so TRITHAL could try again. Just then Gargoyle #1 unleashes CLAW RAIN and leaps up into the air above GROUP ONE, dives face down and continously darts several detachable claws from his hands and the claws rain down on TRITHAL. Gargoyle #1 lands and TRITHAL loses 30 HP. Gargoyle #2 attempts the same move on him. Aelle calculates that the same move of similiar magnitude would annihilate him. So as gargoyle #2 is above TRITHAL, Aelle unleashes FAINT PUNCH. A blast of blue energy emits from her fist as she sends a laser-image-copy of a fist heat-seeking Gargoyle #2 then making contact with him. Gargoyle #2 is destroyed. Aelle loses 3 SP. Gargoyle #1 runs away.

Aelle: "Those gargoyles packed quite a punch. Obviously the power within you that earned you the name 'Divine Wind' has diminished somewhat. You should let me help you re-hone your skills."
TRITHAL shows one of his character flaws in letting 「the fact that some other person he knows who uses the same powers he does is better at it than him」 aggrivate him. GROUP ONE moves forward.

MEANWHILE GROUP TWO is moving along nicely. Palledoris, THRAX, and Danika kinda feel like treating AXEM the same way the quartet treated CHRIS early on in the story.
THRAX: "You are the weakest link!!"
AXEM (with throbbing headache): "Shut....the fuck....up."
Danika who has had about enough of AXEM, blurts out, "Don't tell him to shut up. If you weren't so wrapped up in Rishna last night, you wouldn't be in the boat you are in, you horny-ass sex pervert!"
AXEM (surprised that she knew about Rishna): "You...knew about that?"
Danika: "Oh, I think everyone knew about that. You made it obvious."
AXEM: "You are just jealous that you didn't get to experience the 'Piledriver'! Ya know something? I would so pummel you into oblivion. You are fucking hot, too."
Danika feeling very threatened by AXEM, snaps back, "You need to get control of your dick, Axem! If you weren't thinking about chasing booty all the damn time, you might find that you have more time to build on your Earth element. Besides, your irresponsible sexual antics might get you into trouble one day so watch it."
AXEM: "You know I almost had you last night....Just admit it, I'm the pinnacle of manliness. Say it."
Danika is trying hard not to justify AXEM because in her mind, she does find him desirable.
Danika: "Well, you are the pinnacle of something, that's for sure."
Palledoris: "Would you two cool it? This cave is very populated with monsters so if you aren't paying attention you could find yourself on the wrong end of a---"
Just then, 4 Helldrivers corner GROUP TWO.
BATTLE MODE ON
Palledoris: "....fight."
These "Helldrivers" look like half rat/half turtle creatures with spikes sticking out of their backs.
Helldriver 1 fires a very sharp needle at AXEM. It pierces through him and he loses 20 HP. He falls to one knee.
Danika: "See? Now look at 'cha!"
Palledoris: "Danika, watch out!"
Helldriver 2 fires a needle at Danika. Danika loses 30 HP.
Helldriver 3 fires a needle in the direction of AXEM again. Before it could result in AXEM's annhilation, Danika casts a spell entitled NATURE REPEL. Green rays of energy are casted out of her hands and point into the ground and a large tree grows itself in front of AXEM. Needle is repelled and Helldriver 3 absorbs needle and Helldriver loses 20/100 HP. Danika loses 5 SP.
Helldriver 4 fires a needle at THRAX. THRAX partially defends that blow and loses a not-too-modest amount of 10 HP.
Palledoris is first to attack since she has the highest speed. She unleashes DRAGON BALL. Palledoris lifts her hands in the air, and chants a spell in the Saibotian language and red rays of energy are casted out of into the air above and huge fire-red dragon appears out of nowhere and blows a rain shower of huge fireballs onto the Helldrivers. Helldriver 3 is destroyed and the remaining 3 lose 80/100 HP. Palledoris loses 10 SP. AXEM is useless at this point and his turn is systemically skipped. THRAX whips out a book from his robe and chants a spell called FIRE CANO. Severel holes open up under the ground where the Helldrivers are standing and several eruptions of fire shoot out of the floor. THRAX loses 10 SP. All Helldrivers are destroyed.

Danika (gritting her teeth): "Because we are on the same side here."
AXEM: "Yeah, but you hate me now or something."
Danika: "Axem, I don't hate you. I don't even have a problem with you. I just wish you would start thinking with your other head in the future. For all I know, you may have done something already that could cost you your life and you don't know it yet."
AXEM: "I don't think so. I am not that stupid...anymore."
GROUP TWO moves on.

MEANWHILE GROUP THREE is not doing all that bad either...except for Evan trying to "outgay" himself.
Evan: "...Oh, I know. If more guys would watch 'The View', 'Dr. Phil' and other shows like that, then maybe we would better understand how a woman works."
Anri: "Oh, I agree. I wish more guys were like you, Evan."
Ali smiles thinking about how the straight guys of the group would totally disagree with Anri right now. Being that Rishna and Ali are the youngest of the group, they don't find much interest in their conversation about shows for middle-aged women. At that moment, 6 battlings engage GROUP THREE in battle.
BATTLE MODE ON
Battling 1 waves a sonic blast with its wings at Ali. Ali loses 5 HP.
Battling 2 waves a sonic blast with its wings at Evan. Evan loses 8 HP.
Battling 3 waves a sonic blast with its wings at Anri. She loses 2 HP.
Battling 4 repeats the same move and Anri loses another 2 HP.
Battling 5 & Battling 6 attack Rishna and Alys. Each lose 4 HP.
Anri channels white energy out her finger tips to engage SNOW ZERO. The white rays of energy surround the battlings and an image of a snowy scaly dragon is seen above blowing a cascade of stinging snow. Because Anri is very powerful and the battlings aren't all that powerful, all battlings are destroyed and Anri loses 7 SP.

Ali: "Hey, it's time for that ego-maniac Trithal to be put in his place."
Evan: "Ha, ha, yeeea!! Girls vs. boys!!! We are team girl! Were #1! Were #1!"
Rishna, being very turned off to homosexual males, finds it to be very amusing that Evan thinks he is one of the girls.
GROUP THREE moves on.

Back in GROUP ONE's cave, we find TRITHAL and Aelle conversing while making their way forward. TRITHAL tells Aelle an abridged version of his life story and of his swordsmanship training in Morgura, etc. TRITHAL omits the part about being assimilated by Macha-Rei since he's trying to keep as many people as possible from knowing about it.
Aelle: "So, if you've learned to use the Kaze sword, why are you carrying a pizza knife?"
TRITHAL: "It can take a heavier beating than a Katana blade, and it helps me to vent my anger."
Aelle: "You know what I think? I think this pizza knife of yours is more to you than you realize. It isn't just a way to vent your anger... it's a catalyst for your anger."
TRITHAL: "Eau-kay... What does that mean in English?"
Aelle: "Here. Let me see it."
TRITHAL hesitantly gives Aelle his pizza knife.
Aelle holds TRITHAL's pizza knife and examines it, then says, "This pizza knife embodies the people, places and things that anger you... i.e.: the manager at that pizza place who called the cops on you, or the guy who killed your girlfriend, or the fact that the princess put you in your place earlier, etc. It is filled with your anger and wrath, and it saturates you when you carry this pizza knife. When you use it, it stirrs up the darnkess and hatred in your soul and causes the yin and yang to lose it's natural balance. That's why your skills have diminished."
TRITHAL: "Hmm, never thought of it that way."
Aelle: "Now then, if you want, I can help you regain the balance and restore your wind powers back to normal. Would you like me to help you do this?"
TRITHAL thinks for a minute, then says, "Ok, sure. Why not?"
Aelle uses a kung-fu move and breaks TRITHAL's pizza knife in half, then says "This is the first step in the process."
TRITHAL (upset): "What the fuck did you do that for? Do you know how much that thing cost me?"
Just then, a group of 4 mutant gargoyles confronts the two.
TRITHAL: "Pfff. Great. More unoriginal monster names."
OK, then, TRITHAL, why don't you come up here and come up with some better ones?
TRITHAL: "I'm not saying I could do better...I'm just saying YOU should do better."
Yeah, yeah, fuck you.
BATTLE MODE ON
TRITHAL (LV 11; 11/43 HP; 27/34 SP; 797/3000 EXP)
Aelle (LV 20; 80/80 HP; 92/100 SP; 1500 EXP)
TRITHAL uses a health potion and restores 20 of his lost HP. TRITHAL now has 31/43 HP.
Aelle: "Now for the next step... We're gonna fight this battle using nothing but our wind powers."
TRITHAL (perplexed): "Woman, you're on crack! I don't have enough SP to put up a fight using only magic!"
Aelle: "Then it's a good thing I do. Now watch this..."
Aelle spends 14 SP and summons TWISTER, which causes a giant whirlwind of corn stalks, sheet metal, houses, tractor parts, a bunch of weird, freaky-looking blades of some sort; loose fence boards, and a cow (yes, a cow) to bombarde the gargoyles. Each lose 38/96 HP.
Aelle: "Now, 'Trithal the Divine Wind', let's see what you can do."
TRITHAL, knowing that he's not capable of such an attack as Aelle's, decides to whip up a combination attack. He uses WHIRLWIND (a weaker form of TWISTER) to stir up some of the loose rocks and debris from inside the cave, while at the same time using his SONIC VOICE to break up some of the larger boulders into smaller rocks. The debris and rock fragments bombarde the gargoyles, causing each to lose 18/58 HP. Altogether TRITHAL spends 22 SP and has 5/34 remaining.
Aelle: "Not bad... but could be a shitload better."
The gargoyles, being of earth element, simultaneously unleash a blast of green flame toward TRITHAL and Aelle. With the aid of Aelle's high Magic Evasion stat, both manage to dodge the attack and lose no HP.
Aelle uses a combination attack of her own and first unleases ARCTIC WIND which freezes the gargoyles, then unleashes TROPIC WIND which rapidly heats them and causes them to explode. The attack costs 22 SP. All four enemies are destroyed.

MEANWHILE, back in GROUP TWO's cave, Danika finally stopped arguing with AXEM. Palledoris had already used "Cureall" and everybody's HP and SP were maxed out. Of course she loses 20 SP after that move for the usage of that spell. AXEM, however, was still as useless as ever. Now his hangover has moved into the territory of being a "dry heave" due to the fact that he didn't eat or drink much prior to entering the cave. The other three do what they can to help AXEM while amusing themselves with some random topics...
THRAX: "...Nickelodeon used to be fucking stomp, but it totally fucking sucks now. I mean, you got all sorts of these retarded shows now on that channel."
AXEM, trying hard to participate in the conversation, does the best he can to carry on a conversation even while hungover, unlike CHRIS, who works in a totally opposite way.
Suddenly, 6 "EYE DRUIDS" engage our party in battle.
BATTLE MODE ON
Eye druid 1 casts INK BLAST at Palledoris w/o much warning. She does he best to defend the attack and loses 20 HP.
Eye druid 2 cast the same move at AXEM. The other 3 collectively cast COVER prior to beginning battle so that when an attack is made on AXEM the others absorb the attack for AXEM because he is s'damn useless.
Palledoris loses 8 HP.
THRAX loses 18 HP.
Danika loses 15 HP.
Eye druid 3 shoots a projectile ink missile at Danika. She loses 5 HP.
Eye druid 4 shoots the same projectile at THRAX and he loses 8 HP.
Eye druid 5 shoots the same projectile at Palledoris and she loses 1 HP.
Eye druid 6 casts ELECTROSHOK on everybody. A powerful blast of electricity envelopes GROUP TWO. The other 3, yet again, absorb that blast plus AXEM's damage and straight "zeros" come up as HP lost. That magic attack draws from the EARTH element so they all basically absorbed what AXEM would've repelled had he not had COVER cast on him.
Palledoris, Danika, and THRAX (sarcastically): "Thanks, Axem...yeah, thanks...good job....!"
AXEM gives the finger to his group.
AXEM: "Oh, yeah?! I'm not so useless! Watch this!"
AXEM, having played FINAL FANTASY IV recently, copies a move from a character in that game and casts THUNDAGA on all enemies. Several blasts of lightning scorch the enemies and all lose 110/150. Unfortunately proving once again that he is not that smart when he is hungover, loses all SP and all but 1 HP doing that move. He falls to one knee.
Danika casts FOLIAGE CONFUSION. Danika lifts her arms to the air, and green rays of energy shoot out of her fingertips, and from above, a huge avalanche of leaflets fall down on all of the Eye druids. Eye druids are confused. She spent 10 SP on that form of magic. Eye druid 1 attacks Eye druid 4 and it loses 23 HP. Eye druid 2 attacks Eye druid 6 and it loses 23 HP. The process repeats itself numerous times and the Eye Druids defeat themselves.
NO EXP gained since no enemies were destroyed by the group.

Palledoris and Danika run over to AXEM to help him up. Thrax is seen standing in the same spot where he was in battle and fires up a cancer stick otherwise known to many as cigarettes.
Palledoris: "Lord Thrax, won't you please assist us with your comrade, Axem?"
THRAX, laying his worshippedness on thick, says, "I was thinking about it."
THRAX continues to puff on his cigarette.
DANIKA: "Lord Thrax, you would find that the process would move quicker if you came over here helped."
THRAX (acting silly because he knows the 2 girls won't bitch him out for standing there): "He's fine. Just...hold on....I wanna get a couple more drags out of it..........

............
(continues puffing on cigarette)
...........
...........
I wanna make sure I get my money's worth out of this one.......
............
............
(continuing to puff away)
............
............
Thrax then tosses the cigarette aside and stomps it out, and says, "Allright, then. Let's get him up."
Palledoris uses a few HP potions to restore AXEM's health again, and THRAX's health as well.
Nobody in GROUP TWO was around when CHRIS attempted something foolish in similiarity to what AXEM did so he escapes that bitching that he would have received normally.
GROUP TWO ventures on.....
------------------------------
MEANWHILE, GROUP THREE is keeping it together. Rishna and Ali found out a way to avoid hearing Evan's gayness by conversating about something a little more modern.
Suddenly, 2 "WALLDWELLS" and 2 "SEDIMENTSTEINS" inflict some sufferage on GROUP THREE.
BATTLE MODE ON
WallDwell 1 attacks Anri with a poison dart. She loses 9 HP.
WallDwell 2 attacks Alys with the same move. She loses 11 HP.
Anri has higher speed stat than the Sedimentsteins and casts ICE ROCK. White rays of energy emit out of Anri's hands into the air and from which a huge frozen ice ball comes from above landing on the enemies. She spends 10 SP with that move.
Both WallDwells lose 95/150 HP, Sedimentstein 2 loses 83/200 HP and Sedimentstein 1 dodged the attack and no damage was done to it.
Alys decides to show what she can do and casts "APOCALYPTIC RAIN". She raises her arms and gray rays of energy emit out of her hands and with that a massive clasp of thunder is heard like an atomic bomb has gone off.
Evan: "CHEESELESS RICE!!!! GEEZ LOUISE!!!!"
Suddenly a huge blast of ash, dust, and other particles bombard the enemies at an astronomical rate. The mutant bodies of all the enemies start decaying. Since the Sedimentsteins are half human, their outta skin tears away and blood and gore starts tearing away from them. All enemies bodies start to decay and are all destroyed. Alys loses 30 SP for that move.

And this group moves on...all the while Evan explains why they are so many wars....
Evan: "See, thats my whole point, girls. If men would resolve their differences over an expresso latte and an episode of "Sex and the City, then society wouldn't have bred animals like Thrax, and our TAE-BO trainers wouldn't get their little tighty-whiteys in a knot if you flubbed out of a workout..."
