MEANWHILE, back in GROUP ONE's cave, Aelle is giving TRITHAL pointers on invoking his wind powers.
TRITHAL: "Well it's easy for you. You have the Air Dragon to back you up. I have to draw my powers from the very element itself."
Aelle: "True, but the principle is the same."
The group is confronted by two DARK TREES

Aelle gives TRITHAL a spirit potion to recover 25 of his lost SP, and uses one on herself to restore 25 of her lost SP.
Aelle spends 11 SP and deploys AIR BULLET. She extends her right hand and from her fingertips a large orb of blue energy shoots toward the first Tree. The Tree loses 39/113 HP.
The Trees are faster than TRITHAL, so the second one shoots a large pointy branch toward TRITHAL. He manages to dodge most of it, but still loses 10 HP.
Aelle: "Now, I want you to take your katana sword and focus as much wind energy into it as you can."
TRITHAL withdraws his katana sword and holds it in front of him. He closes his eyes and concentrates for a few seconds, then he opens his now-glowing eyes which are glowing a purer, cleaner blue than before. His blade begins to glow and flame in the same color as he builds his energy.
Aelle: "Now focus that energy into your blade and slice it through the enemy."
TRITHAL spends 29 SP and unleashes KAZE-NO-TSURUGI and like a whirlwind, slices away at the second Tree. The tree loses 110/113 HP.
Aelle: "Nice! There's the famous 'Divine Wind'!"
Aelle spends 32 SP and invokes KAZE WAVE. Four giant orbs of blue wind energy build up and smash into the enemies, shattering them on contact. All enemies are now destroyed

MEANWHILE in GROUP TWO's cave: After having maxed out AXEM's health again, it looks like THRAX is talking about spells and such with AXEM toying around on his cellphone. At this point, AXEM is just worn-out, not really hung-over anymore and is just milking his uselessness.
THRAX: "When I tried to unleash--"
AXEM cellphone rings out loudly "BEEP BEEP....BEEP BEEP". He continues on toying with it.....
THRAX: "....anyway....that spell was really hard for me, but I just looked inside myself, and, shit, it happened. I dunno, it was something like that. Damn, you guys worship me, but you have more stomp magic."
Palledoris: "Lord Thrax, you are but a child in the spirit realm. You just haven't developed yourself, that's all. We have spent years crafting--"
AXEM's cellphone rings out loudly again "BEEP BEEP....BEEP BEEP".
THRAX (very stern-like): "Dude, would you turn that shit off or something?"
Danika: "Too late!"
2 "MAGI-BUGS" corner GROUP TWO.
BATTLE MODE ON.
Magi-bug 1 casts OOZE SLEEP and shoots a snotty-like ooze at Palledoris and Danika. Danika and Palledoris fall asleep.
THRAX: "Pssh. Goddamn it."
THRAX, taking a nod from AXEM, decides he wants to copy a move from FINAL FANTASY IV and cast "FIRAGA". Several blasts of fire flash and incinerate both enemies and they lose 103/200 HP. THRAX loses 20 SP.
The camera pans over to AXEM expecting him to be in a battle stance...but instead he is seen STILL toying with his cellphone.
THRAX: "DUDE, we're in battle here!"
AXEM: "Yeah, just tell him to hold on." (as he 'shooing' his hand away)
THRAX walks over and grabs it out of his hand and exclaims, "Later, dude. Fuck with it later."
AXEM: "But I was trying to text Ali!"
THRAX: "THAT CAN WAIT!"
AXEM grabs the phone from THRAX and manages to hit "SEND".
AXEM: "There. Now lets do this."
AXEM promptly puts his cellphone away. THRAX makes the decision that AXEM is useless on his own so he decides he should cast a duality offense with AXEM. THRAX chants some spell in a language that AXEM is, yet again, unfamiliar with, and suddenly AXEM's eyes are glowing green and THRAX's are glowing red. This happened out of nowhere to AXEM.
THRAX: "There. Now our elements our temporarily joined."
AXEM belts out a death metal growl and he uses his powers that earn him the title "Stone Pillar" with the powers that earn THRAX the title "Hell Fire" and together unleash FIRE PILLAR.
THRAX bolts red rays of energy and a disorganized ball of fire is created. At the same time AXEM bolts out several rays of green energy and the ball of fire organizes itself into a several giant pillars and all hunt across the floor touching the ceiling incinerating the 2 enemies. Both Magi-Bugs are destroyed. THRAX and AXEM collectively lose 20 SP apiece.

Palledoris: "What happened, Lord Thrax? Did you guys handle it OK?"
THRAX: "Yeah, we did a stomp-ass magic duality attack, but it would have went a lot more smoothly if Axem hadn't been screwing around with his cellphone."
AXEM: "Pssh.....It wasn't that big of a deal."
Danika rolls her eyes at AXEM and they continue on.....

In GROUP THREE's cave, the calmness of the atmosphere is disturbed by Ali's cellphone making an unexpected loud beep. Ali withdraws her cellphone and looks at it... then has a disgusted look on her face.
Evan: "What is it, boo?"
Ali: "It's Axem. That chauvinist pig!"
Ali then returns her cellphone to her pocket, after only reading the first line and a half of AXEM's message.
Rishna, kinda suprised to hear Ali speak so negatively about AXEM after having spent so much time around him, asks, "Why do you regard Axem in such disdain? He's a real nice guy when you, ahem, get to know him."
Ali, now coming to think of it, isn't totally sure why she feels AXEM is like a bad habit that you don't wanna pick up. But, for whatever the reason may be, she is sure enough at the moment that he's bad news. So, she responds to Rishna's question saying: "That's kinda a long, drawn out story. Take my advice: Don't get too involved with him. He's bad news."
Rishna, regarding what Ali just said as the same rhetoric her sisters were feeding her, shrugs it off as the party encounters a set of three, wicked-looking MOONCELLS.

Ali: "We've come for the Rare Vial that's at the end of this cave."
MoonCell #2: "NO ONE WHO HAS PASSED THROUGH HERE HAS RETURNED ALIVE!"
MoonCell #3: "PREPARE TO MEET YOUR FATE!"
Anri, being of the highest level, takes the first move and unleashes "ICE STORM" where golf ball-sized hail rains down upon all three enemies. The enemies lose 166/329 HP each. Anri spends 22 SP.
Alys takes the next move and invokes the Holy Dragon to cast a shield of protection around the group. She spends 10 SP.
MoonCell #1 casts SHADOW ATTACK toward Ali and is deflected by the Holy Dragon's shield. Ali loses no HP.
MoonCell #2 casts the same attack toward Evan, and is likewise deflected causing no loss of HP.
MoonCell #3 casts same attack to Alys, with same result.
Rishna, although being the lowest level of the Saibot chicks, is of the lightening element... so when she casts LIGHTENING STRIKE on the enemies, they lose all remaining HP and are destroyed. Rishna spends 17 SP

About the same time, GROUP ONE has made it far enough to where they can see a treasure chest at the end of their cave just ahead. TRITHAL and Aelle quicken their pace in anticipation when suddenly they are confronted by a group of CAVE BATS.
BATTLE MODE ON

Aelle (LV 21; 80/84 HP; 13/100 SP; 1733 EXP)
The Cave Bats fly about for a few seconds then, being of earth element, clump together to create a stone-type wall seperating the group from the treasure at the end of the cave.
Cave Bat #1: "You'll never reach this treasure!"
TRITHAL: "Hey Aelle, do you have anymore of that energy potion?"
Aelle: "Yeah, I have some left. Why?"
TRITHAL: "I wanna rip off a move from a popular anime. Do you have enough to max out my SP?"
Aelle: "I guess... Here."
Aelle gives TRITHAL enough energy potion to max out his SP. TRITHAL now goes into 'show off-y' mode.
TRITHAL: "Watch this!"
TRITHAL takes what almost looks like a defensive/preparing-to-attack posture and turns slightly to the left. He holds his right hand palm-side down about six inches over his palmside-up left hand then boosts his energy to where, not only his eyes, but his hair begins to glow blue. His hair also takes a stupid-looking spikey form.
TRITHAL: "KA.... ME....."
Suddenly an orb of blue energy begins to build between his hands...
TRITHAL: ".... HA.... ME....."
... now it's getting bigger, and TRITHAL's eyes are glowing brighter, and he has this very determined look on his face...
TRITHAL: ".... HAA!!!!!!"
... Now he thrusts both hands forward with the giant orb of energy, then it shoots out a huge ray of energy toward the wall of Cave Bats. A majority of them were destroyed, and the others fled in fear. TRITHAL used all 42 of his SP on that move. Now his hair and eyes are back to normal.

TRITHAL almost begins to describe in detail what he just did, but realizes that he would have to get into a long, drawn out explanation that would infringe on several copyrights (pssh, yeah, like we're gonna worry about that now!), then says, "Nevermind." The group moves forward to the treasure.
