Not long after the others continued forward with the princess going along willingly, our party was engaged in battle just as suspected.
Four Goblins cornered them.
The Goblins get a preemptive strike and each Goblin attacks a party member. CHRIS loses 4 HP because of his low defense and stamina. TRITHAL loses 2 HP because he is an extremely well rounded teammate, and AXEM loses 8 HP because he was attacked twice by 2 separate Goblins and because he was forced to protect the princess while in battle which cut his stats down to near CHRIS'.
TRITHAL unleashed yet another move he copied from an anime he has seen way too much and uses his Japenese Katana sword and creates an all-attack whirlwind blast that destroys the Goblins. Unfortunately that move cost him 5 SP.
The party gains 20 EXP.

TRITHAL: "Damn, Axem! Are we gonna have to fight for you the whole time up to the palace?"
Ali: "I am much to troublesome for you guys. I have no choice but to join you in battle until we reach the palace. That way you three will be able to fight with full power."
The three agree.
Princess Ali of Mount Sabretooth JOINS THE PARTY
The party rearranges their battle setup so the weakest stay to the back escaping with the least amount of damage. Because AXEM and TRITHAL have a higher precision of attack, they agree to take the bulk of the battle.

The four quickly run into a new barrage of enemies:
2 zombies
2 goblins
2 magiknights
BATTLE MODE ON
AXEM attacks one of the zombie with a martial arts move he copied from one of his beloved martial arts movies from the 90's. The zombie is destroyed.
TRITHAL attacks the other zombie with a move he copied from one of his anime shows and swings his katana blade at the zombie. The zombie is destroyed.
CHRIS balls up his little white fist and manages to take away some damage from one of the goblins. Goblin loses 3/20 HP.
Ali, having had some battle training back at the palace attacks the same goblin with her staff. Goblin loses 7/17 HP from Ali's attack despite her low stats.
The 2 goblins attack AXEM and TRITHAL seperately. AXEM loses 2 HP. TRITHAL loses 2 HP.
Unknowingly enough, the magiknights turn out to be the most powerful of the 6 enemies they had to start with. The first magiknight winged into Ali with pickaxe. Ali loses 4 HP. The second repeated the same move onto Ali. Ali loses 4 HP.
Ali's vitality is dangerously low and begins to feel weak-kneed.
AXEM: "Oh, shit, I'll help you."
AXEM begins to support Ali under his arms. CHRIS butts in feeling like AXEM isn't the only galiant one in the group.
CHRIS: "No, dude, that's ok. I'll take her. You have the task of facing the monsters up in front."
CHRIS grabs Ali from AXEM.
AXEM: "No, Chris, stand back, I got this, mothafucker."
Ali (slurred and weak): "No, I'll be fine."
CHRIS releases Ali..............
........
........
Ali: "Axem, can you help me?"
AXEM reverts back to bracing her. CHRIS acts like a little whiny baby and storms off the battle area.
CHRIS runs away.
BATTLE MODE OFF--CHRIS
AXEM: "Dude, where are you going? We need you, man! We just couldn't....(Axem can hardly contain himself and suddenly chortles)...sorry, sorry, I couldn't say that with a straight face."
CHRIS: (faintly mumbling to himself as he walks off) "...every time I...fucking Axem...can't I get some pussy...I said I...."
AXEM: "BEEUUUUAAAA!!!!! I wish Thrax was here to see that gayness!"
TRITHAL: "Hey, we are still in battle here!!"
After realizing what was going on, AXEM discovered that he had lost 4 HP. TRITHAL was having a hard time with the magiknights after defeating the last goblin by himself and had lost 10 HP through the whole ordeal thus far. AXEM and Ali had rejoined TRITHAL in battle.
AXEM roundhouse kicks one magiknight. Magiknight loses 12/8 HP and is destroyed.
TRITHAL swings his katana blade again at the last magiknight and says some battle kai in Japanese. Magiknight loses 12/7 HP and is destroyed.
Party gains 38 EXP except for CHRIS who only gains 13 EXP because he ran away.

TRITHAL: "Damn you, Chris, you almost got us killed."
He then reaches for that pillow that is always so convenient for him and smacks CHRIS with it.
CHRIS loses 1 HP.
AXEM: "What was your problem, anyway? The princess asked for my help. Don't geek out, dude."
CHRIS has nothing to say about the whole ordeal; no apology, no acknowlodgment, nothing, and instead changes the subject.
CHRIS: "Well, what are we standing around for? Let's go, dudes."
AXEM wants to point at that he is totally unwilling to own up to his gayness, but he agress that it is time to keep going.
